Mirror’s Omen

My team and I spent a month working on the film, my role as writer and producer, and part of the post-editing.

Movie Overview

The film, titled The Mirror’s Omen, tells the story of a normal office lady's day. Yet, something whispered to her that this day would unfold unlike any other… It all began with the protagonist breaking her makeup mirror during breakfast, which she recalled as a symbol of bad luck. She was worried but still went to work, but she became more anxious as her day progressed. When she got off work, she started to become paranoid, feeling as though she was being followed on her way home. She felt a sudden pat on her shoulder and was terrified but found out that it was just a leaf. At a crossroads, a car suddenly approached her, leaving her fate uncertain. We want to end the film with an open ending, leaving the audience in suspense to wonder how the protagonist might end up. Did she really become unlucky because she broke the mirror, or was it all in her mind? Our film belongs to the thriller and suspense genre because our goal is to make the audience feel immersed in the frustration of that misfortune. The message of the film is that luck is elusive yet omnipresent, and while its impact might not tangible, it may profoundly influence our psychological state and affect our choices and behaviours
